My 2012 Bucket List

Bucket List
Definition (one of many):

A "Bucket list" is a list you make with friends of things you always say your going to do and don't. Not before you die...just for fun

I've decided that I need to set some goals - big and small - for myself for this coming year. These are not resolutions as everyone knows that when you set resolutions for yourself on New Years Eve, they hardly ever pan out. No, these are my To Dos; my bucket list for this year.

These are things that are measurable by actual results. I'm writing them here as a means to keep track of my progress. As I finish items on this list, I will update them here. For now, here it goes - in no particular order:

As of right now, it's between 2...

After a morning of house hunting with the fantastic Steve, Chris and I have narrowed our current list of favorites to two houses. Both of us REALLY like these houses but there are definitely pros and cons to them both... hopefully Steve will come back with some good news from his investigations later on today. :)

Here are the links:

Cons:
- needs a new roof
- across the street from resident owned townhouses
- main room in the basement is a little small

Pros:
- split entry
- kitchen and kitchen nook
-beautiful backyard that bumps right up to walking trail and park

And the second from this morning:

Cons:
- Higher cost
- small entry way
- a little farther out from city (a couple miles more than others, but still)

Pros:
- beautiful floors
- windows and interior/exterior house new and well kept
- SUPER TARGET :)

As the house hunting continues...

Last night Chris and I went out with our Realtor and looked at 4 houses. This was the first day when I came home and was a measurable amount of discouraged with our current venture. It's not that there are not houses available and that some of them aren't great, but nothing really seems to be fitting. We are starting to wonder if we are being too picky... well, Chris is. and because he is, I am.

I know how lucky we are to be able to afford some of these houses (and others, I'm pretty sure are wishful thinking, but am assured that they are not), so I feel a little guilty complaining or for being more picky... but I can't seem to help it.

I have posted the links to the houses we went to last night. Feel free to check them out.

Hopefully I can turn around and have a more optimistic adventure on Saturday. :)
