Day of Fun and Adventure

Yesterday Chris and I went to Fur Ever Wild, an outdoor education center featuring an array of different types of animals - from goats to their featured Wolves.

It was an amazing experience and I can guarantee that we will be going back there.  If you have a few minutes, check out their site.  They do amazing things from educating the community about these animals to preserving and taking in those animals who have lost their homes. http://www.fureverwild.org/

Below are some of the pictures that we took during our visit. And yes, that IS me holding and playing with 6 -7 week old wolf pups :)

New Blog Discovery

I have found a new blog that I want to share with everyone.

In my quest to find indoor gardening resources, I have stumbled across this great blog titled Urban Organic Gardener http://www.urbanorganicgardener.com/blog/.

I found this blog after finding and watching many of his You Tube videos - which you can watch from his main web site: http://www.urbanorganicgardener.com/ and they have already helped me out a ton with my indoor herb and flower gardens.
I encourage you to check it out.
Thanks for reading

MCA Memory

My brother Zak and I used to listen to the Beastie Boys in the car on the way to school my sophomore year of high school. Til then I had never heard much of them but appreciation and respect grew quickly and I was sucked into the world of "The Ill." Since then, I have never not had Beastie Boys in my car or on my iPod.  Thank you Zak for introducing me. Thank you MCA for the good tunes. RIP.

Blanket Progress

I thought that I would take a quick break from the homework to post a couple picture updates to the blanket I'm working on.  I'm about 1/5th of the way done, but I think it's coming along nicely.

I have learned that I'm not so great at cutting straight lines, even when using a homemade cardboard stencil.  Guess I'm going to have to put the new blade on the rotary cutter for the rest of it.

At least it has received the Milo sign of approval. That's a good start.

I'm excited to finally share my custom labels with all of you.

They arrived earlier this week and look great!  I can't wait to start filling the homes of my family and friends (and perhaps many others!) with them.

They were my first - and definitely not last - Etsy purchase from shop MommieMadeIt. (http://www.etsy.com/shop/MommieMadeIt).  I can't express how wonderful of an experience it was working with them. I HIGHLY recommend this shop to anyone looking to purchase custom craft/clothing labels.
